The Cross Country Race

Read about Apiata's Cross Country Experience

We lined up like a wobbly gobbly line on the furry wet grass.

I felt scared like a volcano exploding in my tummy.

KA BAM!!! Mr P SLAMMED the wooden blocks and zoom, we all started.

We sprinted around the school and into Ngahere twice.  I was sprinting and zooming at the end.

I went as fast as a panther sprinting to the front and in the lead.

My heart was banging like a band and people were screaming and whistling loudly.

I heard clapping from the amazing people.

I had a humongous pump in my heart.  I  HAD  DONE  IT !!

Room 6 Meets the Real Rugger for Rugby World Cup

Go Rugger Go

The Real Rugger visits Room 6 on 5 October 2011.

Read what Jayda writes about Rugga!

My Rugger wears an All Black jersey.  He tackles the other team and he scores a try.  He zooms past the other team and he wins the trophy.   Rugger kicks a goal and is as happy as a star.  Rugger runs fast like a big rocket.  He’s a cool friend.  Rugger sings the National Anthem at the end.

A Stormy Winter Day

By Caleb

I am inside looking out. I see the heavy rain splashing onto the door.  The brown trees are creaking and swinging on the road.  It is scary in the strong wind. The little leaves are brown and green and falling into a circle.  A black cat is wet and soggy.  The soggy cat ran under the house.  I hear branches breaking and smashing.  The loud banging wind is whistling and talking.  Hard rain falling and thundering, dropping on the roof and making puddles.  The black waves are crashing and falling on the shore.  Footprints jumping and running in the puddles.
I feel warm with a fire and food.

How plants grow

Bees are for me

Bees have two antennae. Bees have four wings to fly very fast. They have a stinger because if you annoy them, they will sting you.
The boy bees are lazy and the girl bees do everything for the boy bees. The girl bees clean up the mess and the boy bees live for seven years.
